Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Payment Rules Manager collects, uses, and protects information when merchants install and use the app on Shopify.
Information we collect
Payment Rules Manager may collect and store the following information:
- Shop domain and Shopify session information required to authenticate the app.
- App plan information, such as Free, Growth, or Unlimited.
- Payment rule settings created by the merchant, such as gateway names, cities, collections, product tags, discount codes, and customer tags.
- Shopify access tokens required to use Shopify APIs on behalf of the merchant.
Information we do not collect
Payment Rules Manager does not collect, store, or process customer credit card numbers, card security codes, or other payment card details. Payment processing remains handled by Shopify and the merchant's configured payment providers.
How we use information
We use information only to provide and operate the app, including to:
- Authenticate the app with Shopify.
- Load, save, and apply merchant-created payment rules.
- Check plan limits and manage access to app features.
- Support app functionality, troubleshooting, security, and compliance.
Customer data
The app can use rule conditions such as customer tags when configured by the merchant. Payment Rules Manager does not sell customer information. The app uses Shopify data only as needed to perform the payment customization rules selected by the merchant.
Data sharing
We do not sell merchant or customer data. We may share information only when required to operate the app, comply with applicable law, protect our rights, or respond to lawful requests.
Data retention and deletion
We retain app data for as long as needed to provide the app to the merchant. When Shopify sends a shop redaction request, we delete stored session and plan records for that shop. Merchants can also request data deletion by contacting support.

Payment Rules Manager responds to Shopify's required privacy webhooks:
- Customer data request
- Customer redaction
- Shop redaction
Security
We use HTTPS and Shopify authentication mechanisms to protect information in transit. Access to stored information is limited to what is necessary to operate and support the app.
